amigurumi cupcake container free crochet pattern

Free pattern for a cupcake amigurumi container. To make this little cutie, I used a margarine container and then glued the “cup” from the cupcake amigurumi to the bottom part, and then glued the frosting to the cap of the container.

The result is a cute cupcake amigurumi container, that is also disguised but functional. You can store little things in it, and if you don’t tell anybody, you could even use it as a secret hiding place. Once is closed it doesn’t look as there’s anything inside, but looks like a one piece cupcake amigurumi.

    1. It was the smallest “I can’t believe is not butter” container. I believe it was 6oz. Sorry I can’t confirm it, as I gave this away. If you want to use a bigger container, just add more chains to the base. And follow the rest of the pattern just the same for the “cup”. As for the frosting, you will need to add a few extra rows.

  1. Row 5 is not well put instruction wise. If your saying 2 sc around well there’s no way you will end up with 32 sc’s. can you make this more clearer plz? I’m a very skilled crocheter and I just don’t see ending up with 32 sc’s. thank you kindly for sharing this pattern with us, it is adorable and will wait your reply as I sure would like to finish it. thanx again.

    1. Row five reads: “* 2sc; 2sc in same st* repeat ** until end (32)”

2 regular single crochet, followed by 2 single crochet in one stitch. This way, 8 stitches are increased in total. 24 + 8 = 32

      I hope that helps 🙂

  2. I figured it out after a bit, thank you for your reply and help. I finished one already and started another one. Their birthday gifts that I know my friend will just adore, their just the cutest and thanx again for sharing. God Bless and have a wonderful day!!!
