This Healthy Banana Snack is just an idea I wanted to share. Is not much of a recipe, as there is no cooking, just putting some ingredients together and that’s all.
As a mom, I’m always thinking of ways to make healthy choices for my family and me.
We know, that even if we try, sometimes we end up with less healthy choices, be it because of time, for being tired, and so on.
I try, yet some days I end with a bag of chips as snacks, and although is OK if consumed in moderation, is not something I would eat every day. So I’m always looking for ideas to try. Especially with kids, as mine gets bored of having little choice.
Healthy Banana Snack
You will need:
- One banana
- One spoonful of peanut butter
- One spoonful of strawberry jelly (or any jam or jelly actually)
- Some sliced almonds (optional)
Just slice the banana, and with the help of a butter knife spread peanut butter and jelly on top. You can also add the peanut butter and jelly to a small zip-lock bag, clip the tip and use it as a decorating bag, or if you have one, even better. Add the sliced almonds on top and they’re ready to serve. You can also let them chill in the refrigerator for a few minutes, they’re really nice cold!
*For an even healthier choice, you can remove the jam/jelly to reduce sugar.
I hope you like my little snack idea and give it a try. If you do, let me know if you liked them 🙂
