Indie Yarn Dyer Spotlight: Crafty Kitten Yarn
Today I want to give a nice shoutout to Crafty Kitten Yarns!
Jessica is the one responsible behind hand-dying all the yarns from Crafty Kitten Yarns.
We met over Instagram, and I can’t really remember if I found her or if she found me.
Somehow, we talked about how I was wanting to collaborate on a project with indie dyers, and she also was wanting to collaborate with pattern designers to user her nad-dyed yarn and make it into something lovely.
So here I am, with two hanks of hand-dyed Crafty Kitten Yarn in the colorway “Glacier”. And yes, I am in the process of designing and writing a pattern using this little gift from heaven (you can tell I love yarn).
A little off topic, what a nice name for someone who now lives in Alaska. “Glacier” It made me giggle when I saw that’s the colorway she chose for our little collaboration.

- Fiber content: 50% Merino, 25% Nylon, 25% Rayon

The yarn is quite fine and also very soft.
Although I am still in the sketching process of the design, I am considering making a Shawl, a scarf or maybe socks. Because of how soft this yarn is, I am more and more considering a shawl option, as it will be lovely to have close to you.
Here I just wanted to share how they still look in a hank, and how is shown one extended.
I hope you stay tuned and check later to see what design is created to be made with this lovely yarn.
