Skill Level: Beginner

Size: One size: 30 in x 30 in (about 76.2 cm x 76.2 cm)

Gauge: 22 st by 30 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)

Note about size: If you follow this pattern to the exact stitch you should have the size mentioned above, but you can easily adapt it to make it bigger or smaller, according to your own needs.

Materials:

  • 2 balls of lightweight baby yarn
  • 3.25 mm circular knitting needles (the use of a circular needle is just to fit a large number of stitches, the project is worked in rows)
  • Large eyed needles (to weave in ends)

Stitched used:

k = knit
k2tog = knit two together
yo = yarn over

 

Duo Tone Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern:

With color A Cast on 5 stitches.

Row 1: knit
Row 2: k3, yo, k2 (6 st)
Row 3: k3, yo, k3 (7 st)
Row 4: k3, yo, knit to end of row.
Rows 5 to 159: repeat row 4 until you finish row 159. (165 st)

Change to color B

Row 160: k2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, knit to end of row (164 st)
Remaining rows: Repeat row 160, until only 5 stitches remain on your needles. Bind off.

Weave in ends and block as necessary.
