Normally, I would prepare 4 servings or more if I’m making a smoothie.

But, sometimes, no one else wants a smoothie. And this time is because I was having smoothie cravings almost at midnight (beauty of pregnancy, the craving comes any time), of course no one else would want a smoothie that late!

The thing is that the craving is stronger, so I made a serving just for one.

Quick and easy recipe for a Strawberry banana smoothie for one
Ingredients
  • ½ banana
  • 3 to 4 medium strawberries
  • ¾ cup of milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Cut the banana in chunks.
  2. Wash the strawberries, remove the caps and cut them in chunks as well.
  3. Combine the banana, strawberries, milk and vanilla extract in a blender.
  4. Process all until smooth and serve.
Notes
You can also use frozen fruit.
Make it vegan, by replacing regular milk with soy milk or almond milk

And if you’re wondering what you can do with the other half of the banana, just cut it into chunks and freeze it and have it ready for the next time you’d like a smoothie. I even prepared some strawberries as well, so next time, I just need to add milk and vanilla extract… to the blender and all ready for my next midnight craving.
